Our in-person PALS Initial Class is a full-day, hands-on course designed for healthcare providers who have never held a PALS certification or whose card has been expired for more than 30 days. Conducted at our New Orleans training facility by a certified AHA instructor, this course walks you through the AHA systematic approach to pediatric assessment, recognition and management of respiratory failure and shock, and pediatric cardiac arrest algorithms. You will practice in team-based simulation scenarios using pediatric manikins and real resuscitation equipment. Upon passing the written exam and in-person Megacode skills checkoff, you receive your AHA PALS Provider card typically within 1–2 business days after successful completion.
The in-person PALS Renewal Class is a streamlined course for providers who hold a current or recently expired (within 30 days) AHA PALS Provider card. This renewal course covers updated AHA guidelines, reviews pediatric assessment and algorithm changes, and includes a skills checkoff and written exam. The renewal format is shorter than the initial course and is designed to efficiently re-certify experienced providers. Bring your current PALS card to class. Upon successful completion you receive a new 2-year AHA PALS Provider card typically within 1–2 business days after successful completion.
Our Blended/Hybrid PALS course combines self-paced online pre-work with a focused in-person skills session. You complete the cognitive portion — AHA guidelines, pediatric assessment, algorithm review, and case-based learning — online at your own pace before arriving at our facility. The in-person session focuses entirely on hands-on simulation, team-based Megacode practice, skills checkoff, and written exam. This format is ideal for busy healthcare professionals who want to minimize time in the classroom while still receiving the full AHA PALS Provider certification.

PALS is designed for nurses, paramedics, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other advanced healthcare providers who care for critically ill or injured children and respond to pediatric emergencies. A current BLS Provider card is required.
Students must hold a current AHA BLS Provider card before attending PALS. For renewal classes, a current or recently expired AHA PALS Provider card is required. Precourse self-assessment completion is required before class.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Bring a valid ID and your current BLS (and PALS for renewal) Provider card along with your precourse assessment score sheet. All equipment and course materials are provided.
Upon successful completion, you will receive an official AHA PALS Provider eCard valid for 2 years, typically issued within 1–2 business days after successful completion.
