Our in-person ACLS Initial Class is designed for healthcare providers obtaining their ACLS certification for the first time. Already ACLS certified? Our in-person Renewal Class is built for providers who hold a current or recently expired AHA ACLS Provider card and need to recertify. The renewal course is condensed compared to the initial class, focusing on updated AHA guidelines, skills review, and scenario-based testing. You'll refresh your knowledge of ACLS algorithms, team dynamics, and pharmacology in a structured, instructor-led environment — and walk out with your new 2-year AHA ACLS Provider card typically within 1–2 business days after successful completion.
Our Blended/Hybrid ACLS course combines self-paced online pre-work with a focused in-person skills evaluation. You complete the cognitive didactic portion — AHA guidelines, rhythm disturbance algorithms, stroke management, and case-based simulations — online at your own pace through the AHA HeartCode platform. Once finished, you attend a hands-on session at our New Orleans facility focused entirely on MegaCode practice, airway skills, and final testing with an AHA instructor. ACLS is designed for emergency and critical care personnel, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other advanced healthcare providers who direct or manage cardiovascular emergencies.
Students must hold a current AHA BLS Provider card before attending ACLS. For renewal classes, a current or recently expired AHA ACLS Provider card is required. Precourse self-assessment completion is required before class.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Bring a valid ID, your current BLS (and ACLS for renewal) Provider card, and your precourse assessment score sheet. All training equipment and course materials are provided.
Upon successful completion of the written exam and MegaCode evaluation, you will receive an official AHA ACLS Provider eCard valid for 2 years, typically issued within 1–2 business days after successful completion.
