Become an AHA-authorized ACLS Instructor. This course is designed for healthcare providers who hold a current AHA ACLS Provider card and want to teach advanced cardiovascular life support in clinical or educational settings. Students complete AHA Instructor Essentials training, learn ACLS teaching methodology and debriefing techniques, and demonstrate teaching competency in a monitored teach-back session.
Become an AHA-authorized BLS Instructor. This course is designed for current AHA BLS Providers who want to teach CPR and BLS skills in clinical, educational, or community settings. Students complete AHA Instructor Essentials training, learn BLS teaching methodology and skills station facilitation, and demonstrate teaching competency in a monitored teach-back session.
Become an AHA-authorized PALS Instructor. This course is designed for healthcare providers who hold a current AHA PALS Provider card and want to teach pediatric advanced life support in clinical or educational settings. Students complete AHA Instructor Essentials training, learn PALS teaching methodology and simulation debriefing, and demonstrate teaching competency in a monitored teach-back session.
A coordinated instructor-development pathway for experienced providers who hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Provider credentials and want to qualify to teach all three disciplines through an aligned AHA Training Center. Each discipline retains its own Instructor Essentials, teaching, and monitoring requirements.

AHA Instructor courses are designed for healthcare providers, educators, and clinical professionals who hold a current AHA Provider card in the discipline they wish to teach and want to become authorized to teach that course in their organization or community.
Candidates must hold a current AHA Provider card in the corresponding discipline. Candidates must also complete the online AHA Instructor Essentials module for their specific discipline prior to attending the in-person session.
Bring your current AHA Provider card, a valid government-issued photo ID, and proof of completion of the AHA Instructor Essentials online module. Wear comfortable clothing for teaching practice and skills stations.
Upon successful completion of the instructor course and monitored teach-back session, you will receive an official AHA Instructor eCard in your discipline, valid for 2 years, allowing you to teach courses through an AHA Training Center.
